Delima Redang Resort – A Full Review

Delima Redang Resort is a popular budget resort on the island. Located at Pantai Teligi, this resort is close to the Laguna Jetty in Long Beach. You can walk to Long Beach in 10 to 15 minutes. This is the only resort on this stretch of beach, so that you can expect a quieter atmosphere than Long Beach.

There are two blocks of twin-story buildings with 60 rooms, accommodating up to 160 people. The buildings are located on the backside of this property, next to the jungle and overlooking the beach. There is a garden in between the two buildings. Each medium-sized room has a double bed, a triple bed, quad bed, air conditioning, and a shower with hot water. There is a long corridor connecting all the rooms, but no balcony. This resort does not have a TV or refrigerator. Therefore, it is best suited for tourists who are just looking for a place to sleep and want to engage in outdoor activities.

The most popular all-inclusive package for twin sharing is the 3D2N full-board package, which costs between RM320 and RM460 per person. This includes return boat transfer, meals, and three snorkeling boat trips. The resort also offers competitively priced team-building packages.

Delima Redang has only one restaurant, located at the front of the resort. An RM45 dinner buffet meal (included free in the package) includes local dishes. Some nights, there is a barbecue buffet dinner on the beach. Having no nearby restaurants or cafeterias may be a problem if you don’t like their set menu or package meal. If you wish to find food elsewhere, you may have to walk quite a distance to the long beach.

There are various activities to choose from here, such as snorkeling and scuba diving. The beachfront also offers beach volleyball, beach chairs, and hammocks for relaxing with friends and family. The resort can arrange jungle trekking, and ATV rides at a reasonable rate for those who enjoy an adventure. Long Beach visitors often come here to ride ATV since this area has better mud trails and jungle access.

Delima beach’s only disadvantage is that you can’t immediately get into the water from the front yard because of the slippery rocks. To swim in the sea, you need to walk a little farther down to the long beach. Alternatively, you could hop on a free shuttle buggy ride between the two beaches.

As a budget resort, the facilities are not very impressive. You will not find swimming pools, a gymnasium, a spa, or massage services either. Nevertheless, they do have a karaoke room, a games room, and a meeting room. If you need anything between activities, you can also buy snacks and water at the reception’s mini-mart. Those looking for a budget holiday with basic amenities at an affordable price will find Delima Redang to be an ideal choice. However, if you desire luxury in your accommodations, you might want to look elsewhere. Those looking for a budget-friendly package can get a lot from their 3D2N package, including a boat transfer, free meals, and three snorkeling activities.
